We are switching some deadlines a bit for elections, so please note the new timeline down below as well as the Election Guidelines page linked below.
Sunday, March 29th, 10:00 PM: Deadline to declare candidacy for Class President
Tuesday, March 31st - Monday, April 6th: Class President campaigning
Monday, April 6th: Class President elections (Presence) from 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM If you don't get elected as a Class President you can always switch to run for Senator without resubmitting the Google form or your flyer:
Wednesday, April 8th - Monday, April 13th: Senator campaigning Monday, April 13th: Senator elections through Presence from 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM All times are Eastern Standard Time (EST)!
So, here are the next steps as you are planning to run for a WCGA Class President position...
1. Review the Election Guidelines page on our website.
A copy of the campaign guidelines and the PowerPoint are attached below.
2. Declare your candidacy by 10 pm on Sunday, March 29th by filling out this Google Form. In the form, you will have to fill in some personal information, as well as upload and submit your blurb and your campaign flyer.
Your campaign flyer may contain a self-introduction, useful previous experience, goals for WCGA, why you are running for Class President, etc.
It also must contain the election information, which is: Vote Monday, April 6th, 2020, 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM (EST) at [insert link].
I will forward you the voting link once I get it from CSI this week.
The flyers may be up to one 8½”x11” page only – the size of a computer paper (picture included).
3. Enjoy it and make the most out of it.
