RCSGA and WCGA recognize the unfair, unequal, and unjust treatment that people of color face across the country. May 8th would’ve been Ahmaud Arbery’s 26th Birthday. What should’ve been a day of celebrations was a day full of grief and sorrow across the country. Let this be a call to action for the justice of Ahmaud Arbery. Join your student governments and the University of Richmond community in#RunWithMaud. Wear your white shirts in honor of Ahmaud while maintaining social distancing. Use your privilege and speak out against these unjust encounters. As they say, the world suffers a lot not just because of the violence of bad people, but also because of the silence of good people.
